Visual Artist
TERY FUENTES
Tery Fuentes is a Venezuelan visual artist based in Miami, recognized for her neo-expressionist style, characterized by loose, textured brushstrokes that explore deeply personal themes of family, migration, and femininity. Drawing from a rich tapestry of experiences and a diverse educational background, Fuentes creates evocative works that resonate with international audiences.
PROFILE STATEMENT
Painting is the medium through which I express my subjectivity, shaped by my experiences as a woman, mother, and migrant. The human figure plays a central role in my work, connecting to reality and the everyday. Through expressive and spontaneous strokes, I liberate form to convey emotion and inner depth.
Color—vibrant and symbolic—is fundamental to my visual language. It reflects personal experiences and builds a bridge between the visible world and the emotional realm.
